Student Spotlight #1: Terrell

Hi! My name is Terrell and I am a 13 year old boy. This has been my 3rd year in Citizen Schools. My favorite part of Citizen Schools is the WOW! The WOW! is a performance of all the work us kids do in our apprenticeships. In the beginning of the WOW!, there are booths running down a long hallway and even in the community room. These stands may show you poster boards to show and explain the apprenticeship. After that, everyone goes into the auditorium to see some apprenticeships performn. I performed on stage myself this semester as Romeo in "Shakespearean Swordfighting's" Romeo and Juliet. This semester, some of the apprenticeships that went on stage were "So You Think You Can Dance", "Shakespearean Swordfighting", "Project ReRunway", and the chorus. We all know that "So You Think You Can Dance" is dancing, chorus is singing, I already told you what Shakespearean Swording is, so what do you think "Project ReRunway" is? It's an apprenticeship that uses recycled objects to make clothing. Overall, I think that the WOW! was a success, especially the Romeo and Juliet part. We got lots of cheers from the audience and I'm looking forward to another great WOW! in the spring.
